Welcome

On behalf of the pupils, staff and Governors I would like to welcome you to St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School.

We hope that you find this website useful and helpful in informing you about the work of our school, our aims, our values and our beliefs.

St Francis of Assisi is a happy school with caring pupils, staff and governors. We believe fully in our strong partnership with parents, as it enables us to work together successfully to promote the growth, development and well being of each and every child, spiritually, morally, socially and academically.

The Aims of our School - Our Catholic Foundation

The curriculum we offer to all of our pupils is creative, broad and relevant; we seek to engage, challenge and inspire all learners. As a reflective learning community we ensure our curriculum is enriched by a diversity of learning experiences that develop pupils’ creativity and independence, so that they can grow in confidence and become learners for life.

The school has high expectations of behaviour and attitudes. All staff at the school strive to ensure that each child is appropriately challenged and excited to learn, so that they can achieve well and develop as well rounded individuals.

St Francis School recognises and values the importance of a healthy home-school partnership. We understand that as parents, you know your child better than anyone and so we actively encourage regular communication and contact between home and school through parent meetings, consultation evenings and curriculum information workshops.

The school enjoys the support of a committed and supportive Board of Governors and a very active and enthusiastic PTA (Parents and Teachers Association).
This, together with the strong parish links that the school maintains with the Crawley and Horley Parishes, ensures a strong partnership between school, home and parish where our children can flourish and grow in Christ.

At St Francis we aim to promote

A caring community based on a love of God

An understanding and knowledge of the teaching of the Catholic Church and the way it actively seeks to serve

A love of learning

A desire to excel and be the best we can be

A commitment to working together
